I don’t care what happens in Vegas
I saw a really crappy movie yesterday – “What Happens in Vegas”. I had read in the newspaper that it was a poorly made movie, but I wasn’t ready for how bad the film actually was. When I had seen about forty minutes of it I decided to turn it off. I mean, I like both Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, but this was absurd. I am actually amazed that a movie so filled with jokes could be so empty of laughter. I really tried to see the fun stuff in some of the situations, but it was just too staged, too rehearsed, too far fetched.
The movie is about a man and a woman, our anti heroes, who get’s married on a whim while getting drunk in Vegas. The morning after when they have already settled for an annulment, they accidentally win three million dollars. In court the judge claims that they have to give their marriage a real shot before getting any money what-so-ever, so after having fought in a couple of “comic” scenes, they actually start giving their accidental marriage a try. I didn’t have to see the whole movie to figure out how it would all end, and I sure wasn’t interested enough to do so either.
I am surprised that well-paid comedians such as Diaz and Kutcher actually agreed to make a film like this, it could very well be the end of both of their careers. At least if we are talking high budget movies. Who gave this movie a budget, I have no idea.
After having turned off the movie I went online instead. Lately I have been on the lookout for more exclusive online stores, but I haven’t found too many that can actually live up to my demands. I am especially searching for watch stores and jewellery stores. There is a couple of jewellery stores online that I like, but it wasn’t until a few days ago that I found a decent watch store. Now I am thinking about buying an Omega, but I haven’t chosen the model yet. I just know that they make the best watches.
Sooner or later I will probably buy like a nice gold chain or something, but I have to prioritize the watch.
